So many temples everywhere

Veranasi is not a planned city, so everything was built all jumbled up and around everywhere and everything. Being such an important holy city, there are an extraordinary number of temples and shrines, so many that they almost aren't special. As we walked through the tiny and crowded pathways of the oldest part of the city-- along the river-- we saw stupas and shrines and devotional objects more numerous to ever count.
